JOHN G. JONES CONSISTORY No. 16​

HISTORY

On May 31, 1927, the United Supreme Council of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry granted a patent of perpetual constitution to a group of Sublime Princes of the Royal Secret to be known as the John G. Jones Consistory No. 16.

Ill. Jean A. Kristen was duly elected the first Commander-in-Chief, Ill. Abraham Walton. First Lieutenant, and Ill. Louis R. Fowlkes, Second Lieutenant; Honorable C. Williams was the Most Puissant Sovereign Grand Commander.  Ill. U.E. Carroll was our next Commander-in-Chief, Ill. Leonard E. Hicks succeeded Ill. Carroll. IIL. Harvey Carrington succeeded ILL. Hicks, ILL. John A. Mosby was elected to succeed Ill. Carrington.  IIL. James L. Mosley succeeded IIL. John A. Mosby, who served and led John G. Jones Consistory No. 16 to great heights in performance and recognition.

IIL. Lesser Dodd succeeded IIL. James L. Mosley to carry on the tradition of this Grand Consistory.  IIL. Winston J. Hall succeeded IIL. Lesser Dodd.  He, too, had the task to maintain the dignity and decorum of this Grand Consistory.  After the elevation of IIL. Winston J. Hall to the office of Grand Master of Hiram Grand Lodge, IIL. Phillip S. Ajayi succeeded him as Commander-in-Chief.  Inspector General Leroy Wilkins assumed the office of Commander-in-Chief of John G. Jones Consistory No. 16 after the Honorable Phillip S. Ajayi was elevated to the office of Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Hiram Grand Lodge. The current Commander-inChief. IIL. Joe F. Stokes succeeded IIL. Ronald E. Code and is still carrying on the tradition of John G. Jones  Consistory No. 16 to higher heights.

John G. Jones Consistory No.16 has stretched forth its hands of assistant to many worth while causes in the community and attempted intense support to the activities of the Most Worshipful Hiram Grand Lodge, A.F. & A.M., Inc., its affiliate bodies and our National Organization.


John G. Jones Consistory No.16 meets the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm at 1205 Eutaw Place, Baltimore, Maryland  21217.
