ADAH No.5
Adah Chapter # 5 was established on December 21, 1927, under Grand Worthy Matron Estelle Taylor of Naomi Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and then reopened and consecrated at Hiram Grand Lodge, Baltimore, Maryland on June 1, 2002 by Grand Worthy Patron Benjamin Amara. The Worthy Matron Sister Jeanne Randall-Parker organized the 13 members that made up the Chapter. Prior to its consecration, this group met at Micah’s Restaurant on Reisterstown Road and they were known as the Ladies in Blue Club.
Grand Worthy Matron Eugenia Starghill welcomed Adah Chapter #5 back to Naomi Grand Chapter OES with loving arms. This chapter has worked with the Orlean Street via duct feeding the hungry program and supported eight girls in the Off Spring Group Home, by donating funds for clothing and food. To quote Rev. Elliot Rice that spoke at the consecration service, the meaning of each letter of ADAH is:
